Cricket Blasters 5-7yrs
This season Cricket Australia have refreshed the Cricket Blast product. Junior Blaster and Master Blaster have been merged into one program to limit confusion for parents and registrants, and will now just be called Woolworths Cricket Blast. This program will remain a stepping stone to junior cricket and focus on skill acquisition for new, young players. There will still be 2 formats:-
Cricket Blast Skills
The Cricket Blast Skills group (Level 1 and 2) – formally Junior Blasters.
This program is for beginner cricketers. It will teach and build fundamental basic skills of cricket through fun, game-based activities.
In 2026-2027season, we will advance with the Friday evening "full season" Cricket Blast Skills program. Players can participate in a training session on Fridays 5.30-7pm at Hassell Park. Professional coaches are available to assist players with their skill development.
Cricket Blast Competition
The Cricket Blast Competition group (Level 3) – formally Master Blasters.
This program is designed for players who can bowl with a straight arm and hit a moving ball. It involves modified, small-sided matches. All Cricket Blast Competition participants receive match shirt and shorts at first training or match in October.
Players can participate in a training session on Fridays 4.30-5.30pm at Hassell Park. Professional coaches are available to assist players with their skill development. On Saturday 8-9.30am at Hassall Park or at Linfield Oval (TBC) , the players have the opportunity to use their new skills in a match format. There is a modified game where each player gets to bat, bowl and field
