Juniors Cricket - U9s to U17s Boys and Girls

Cricket Australia has introduced the stages of cricket to assist players and parents to navigate a pathway of skills and development.

Junior Competitions 2023/24

​

The U9-U17 competitions listed below are subject to number of players registered this season. Some competitions will need to be merged to ensure there are sufficient teams to run a competition (minimum 4 to 6). There are 3 stages in junior cricket which helps to define ball type, pitch length, outfield size etc. Please refer to Blue Book for more information:-

SATURDAY AM

  • U9 T20 - Stage 1 Participation format 

Match time - Sat 8am and 10.30am

​

  • U10 T20 - Stage 1 Participation format

Match time - Sat 8am and 10.30am

​

  • U11 T20 - Stage 1 Participation format

Match time - Sat 8am and 10.30am

​

  • Girls Junior T20 - Stage 1 Participation format (never played or developing skills) - generally U11. Match time - Sat 10.30am

  • U11 30 Over - Stage 2 - Traditional Format (for stronger players)

Match time - Sat AM or Sun AM TBC

​

  • U12 T20 - Stage 2 Traditional format

Match time - Sat 10.30am

​

  • U11/12 T20 Div 3 - Stage 2 (generally for strong young players (10 or 11 years old) that are keen for 'out is out' traditional format

Match time - Sat 1pm

SATURDAY PM

  • U12 T20 Div 1 - Stage 2 traditional format (strongest players recommended for this competition - skills test maybe required)

Match time - Sat 1pm

​

  • U12 T20 Div 2 - Stage 2 traditional format

Match time - Sat 3.30pm

​

  • Girls Senior T20 - Stage 1 participation format (for players that have completed one season) - generally U13. Match time - Sat 1pm

​

  • Girls T20 - Stage 2 traditional format (out is out) - generally U15

Match time - Sat 3.30pm

​

  • Girls T20 - Stage 3 traditional format - generally U17 (strongest players for this competition)

Match time - Sat 1pm TBC

  • U14/15 T20 - Stage 2 traditional format

Match time - Sat 3.30pm

​

SUNDAY AM - match times 8am or 9am TBC.

All games are played in traditional format.

  • U11 30 overs Stage 2 TBC

  • U12 30 overs Stage 2

  • U13 T20 Stage 2

  • U13 30 overs Stage 2

  • U14 T20 Stage 2

  • U14 32 overs Stage 3
